Located in Germany’s renowned „City of Photonics“, AFS – Active Fiber Systems GmbH leads the way in high-power femtosecond laser systems. With cutting-edge research and continuous improvements, our solutions range from compact designs to complex beamlines, all based on fiber amplifier technology developed in Jena.

Our ultra-short-pulse fiber lasers have been refined in collaboration with Jena’s top research institutes, resulting in groundbreaking advancements and multiple world records. As a spin-off, AFS has surpassed these achievements to become a global leader in high-power laser development.

Since January 2022, we are proud to be part of the TRUMPF Group, enhancing our capabilities and market reach. Our mission is to transform laboratory setups with world-record parameters into reliable laser systems for scientific and industrial applications, continuing over a decade of excellence in fiber laser technology.

AFS is dedicated to supporting local events, sports clubs, international conferences, exhibitions, and student awards.
