His career highlights include roles as Senior Vice-President of Life Sciences and Instrumentation and Business Development at Gooch & Housego, as well as senior management positions at ITT Industries, Newport Corporation, and Honeywell International. Alexandre holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Experimental Physics from York University in Toronto, Canada, and an MBA from the University of Florida. He is a Chartered Engineer and an active member of prestigious organizations such as the American Physical Society, Optical Society of America (OSA), and SPIE—The International Society for Optical Engineering. Alexandre's extensive knowledge spans precision light measurement, life sciences imaging, remote sensing, applied optics, and lasers. He is also the current president of the Florida Photonics Cluster.
