Few-cycle Inc.
Few-Cycle Inc. is a Canadian spin-off company located in the Montreal area that specializes in developing optical technologies for ultrafast laser science. Established in 2014, the company focuses on redefining optical parametric amplification by providing high conversion efficiencies and high peak power IR pulses of up to 2.5TW.
The company also offers femtosecond laser upgrades based on hollow-core fiber systems for pulse compression. Their fibers have a high efficiency of more than 90% and have been used to compress Yb pulses with over 70mJ of pulse energy.
In collaboration with the Institute National de la Recherche Scientifique, INRS, Few-Cycle Inc. is a research-oriented company that develops high-energy, few-cycle pulse generation methods in the IR spectral range. These pulses are used in groundbreaking experiments, such as high harmonic generation, high field THz generation, and novel schemes for electron acceleration.
