Established in 1987, Nyfors Teknologi AB is a Swedish family business and a leading developer of optical fiber fusion splicing and recoating systems for over three decades. With a rich history in the field of fiber optic fusion splicing, our mission is to design, develop, and manufacture the most innovative equipment available on the market. Our product range includes cutting-edge automatic fiber cleaving, end face inspection, fiber recoating & prooftesting, fiber stripping & preparation, and laser fusion splicing equipment. Each product is designed and manufactured in Sweden to ensure the highest standards of quality.

In 1990, we launched the world's first recoater for optical fibers, the RECOATER 1™, which set the industry standard for high-precision recoating. The launch of the interferometric microscope, CLEAVEMETER™, in 1991 revolutionized the evaluation of cleaving processes and end surfaces. The fully automatic recoater, AUTOCOATER™, introduced in 1999, met the growing demand for efficient production with its square recoating molds for volume industrial manufacturing.
