SX51-01 Optical Subsystem
Description
The SX51-01 is an optical subsystem with bi-directional capabilities. The subsystems are available as either the transmitter or receiver subassembly supporting up to 14 Gbps using four video- or data-lanes (4 x 3.5 Gbps) along with a simultaneous bi-directional 5 Mbps data and communication channel, all on just one multimode fiber.
The subsystems feature integrated driver/receiver electronics so the need for handling complex optoelectronics in the system design is eliminated and faster design-in times can be achieved. The subsystem includes a ZIF-terminated flex circuit to allow for fast assembly and test during manufacturing without the need for any optical alignment. The SX51 optical subsystem makes it simple to add the benefits of optical interconnects to any data, DVI, or HDMI 1.4 application.
