SA-83/S Augmented Reality HMD
Description
SA Photonics’ SA-83/S Augmented Reality Head Mounted Display (HMD) is a low cost system that provides augmentation via symbology and video imagery over a very wide 83° diagonal field of view. SA-83/S’s high resolution (1920 x 1200) color OLED microdisplays provide an extremely sharp image. SA Photonics’ innovative prism eyepiece design has almost no peripheral obscuration, so users see an unobstructed view of the real world. An optional flip-up semitransparent visor is available to control light in bright ambient environments. The SA-83/S has adjustments for fore/aft, vertical position and interpupillary distance, ensuring that users always have the correct fit. A large exit pupil and eye relief provide for a comfortable viewing experience even while on the move. The HMD also comes in configurations of 62° and 92° diagonal fields of view, with binocular overlap at 100% and 20°, respectively. The SA-83/S was designed to be mounted to either a helmet or a soft-mount using a standard COTS interface plate, and can be easily flipped up to a secure stowage position when not in use.
