Install the purifier as close as possible to the location in which it is to be used. Connect the inlet and outlet to the water supply. Plug it into a grounded electrical outlet. Maintain it by cleaning the quartz sleeve with a manual wiper once every month – more frequently where indicated by application conditions. Recommended lamp replacement is once every 10,000 hours of operation (approximately 14 months of continuous operation).
Water enters the purifier and flows into the annular space between the quartz sleeve and outside chamber wall. Wiper segments induce turbulence in flowing liquid to ensure uniform exposure of suspended microorganisms to lethal ultraviolet rays. The translucent sight port provides positive indication of germicidal lamp operation. The wiper assembly facilitates periodic cleaning of the quartz sleeve without disassembly or interruption of purifier operation. Water leaves the purifier ready for use instantly.
