CHV 30P is a self-contained high voltage supply, specially designed for the Customized Photomultiplier CPM C900 and C1900 in photon counting and pulse mode applications.

Guard Ring is used for operating the CPM at negative high voltage. It is mounted directly to the Photocathode end of the CPM and connected via 1 MOhm resistor to negative photocathode potential (negative high voltage). The guard ring enables avoiding discharging processes (corona effects) at the cathode which may occur as significantly increased dark pulses/dark current.
