Precision Ditherless Bias Controller
Description
The Precision Ditherless Bias Controller (MBC-PDBC-X) is a compact OEM standalone device designed for bias control in a feedback loop. It features pilot tone mode for precise positioning of the modulator to the Quad position, followed by ditherless mode for maintaining the modulator at that point.
The unit can be manually controlled or set to automatically lock the bias to a desired working point. With high accuracy and a fast response, it is suitable for use with Mach-Zehnder (MZ) modulators and Fabry-Perot fiber control loop-back systems.
