ZGP Crystal mid-IR nonlinear crystal for SHG, SFG, OPO, and OPG/OPA - CRYLINK
Description
ZnGeP2(Zinc germanium phosphide)crystal has many good properties and is an mid-IR nonlinear crystal. The nonlinear susceptibility of ZnGeP2 (ZGP) crystal is approximately 160 times large (d36~75 pm/V) as KDP, ZGP shows good optical transparency over the 740 – 12000 nm and relatively high laser damage threshold and is therefore well suited for producing near infrared tunable laser. ZGP is a very hopeful material for mid-infrared devices such as SHG, SFG, OPO, and OPG/OPA.
Zinc Germanium phosphide (ZGP) has large nonlinear coefficient, high laser damage threshold and high thermal conductivity. These characteristics make ZGP very suitable for high-power applications. Most commonly, ZGP is used for OPO, OPA and OPCPA pumped by holmium and Thulium fiber lasers to produce high-power tunable output between 3.0 µ m and 6.0 µ m, but other processes can also be used. ZGP has mechanical stability and stability in a wide working temperature range.
