OPCO uses fused silica, low and high index glass, calcium fluoride (CaF), magnesium fluoride (MgF), silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), zinc selenide (ZnSe), and sapphire to manufacture lenses and domes.
OPCO has a unique in-house capability to manufacture test plates that assures lens radius, surface accuracy, and repeatability, which is a cost and time advantage during the design phase.
OPCO's manufacturing process for lenses and domes involves CNC manufacturing to ensure consistency in meeting specs, centration within seconds validated by their computer-controlled centering scope, and vertically integrated in-house manufacturing for fabrication, coating, assembly, and test.
