Features
his camera features a 1360x1036 ACTIVE pixel resolution.
Ultra high sensitivity spectral response (see datasheet).
High gain - very quiet even at 35x gain!
Cooling is available for fluorescent image acquisition.
Color or monochrome versions available.
Provides 12 bits of monochrome digitization or 36 bits of color digitization.
A tunable color filter is available for color brightfield work or dual bandpass emission filters for 36 bit color image acquisition with the monochrome version of the camera.
Direct firewire connection from camera to computer - no intermediate "band-aid" junction box is required. Can easily be used with a laptop.
Single wire connection - power and data go through one single firewire cable.
Very easy to use software for Mac or PC platforms included.
Software Developer's Kit available.
The small, unobtrusive design won't get in microscope user's way.
Small enough to be easily mounted on side port.
User controllable Exposure time from 40 microseconds to 17.9 minutes.
User controllable gain and offset via software.
On-chip binning is supported - by reducing resolution, the camera's sensitivity is increased allowing for shorter integration times, this is especially useful for focusing which is typically done at 23 - 40 frames per second.
Focus window provides full quality images, unlike most digital cameras which provide a very small preview that is typically very noisy and therefore difficult to focus with.
By utilizing the on-chip region of interest selection, very fast frame rates (100 frames per second max.) are available for accurate focusing/acquisition as well without binning.
2 Year warranty is provided.
