The Highly Stable Laser Diode Source (HIFOSS) from OZ Optics is a meticulously engineered laser diode source designed to deliver exceptional stability and performance. Equipped with a thermoelectric (TE) cooler and an isolator, this source maintains a stable temperature for the laser diode while reducing the effects of backreflection, ensuring reliable and accurate results.
The HIFOSS is available in both receptacle-style and pigtail-style configurations. Receptacle-style sources and pigtail-style sources offer a choice of polarization maintaining, single-mode, or multimode fiber output, with a wide range of receptacles or connectors available. For optimum stability, OZ Optics recommends using angled connectors.
OZ Optics primarily utilizes polarization maintaining fibers based on the PANDA fiber structure for building polarization maintaining components and patchcords. However, alternative fiber types can be used upon request or using customer-supplied fibers.
