Description
The driver 0824 was especially developed for operating highly sensitive Laser with integrated peltier element. With this driver a secure and ripple-free operation is assured. The driver is suitable for various packages (DIL, Butterfly, TOSA etc.). It can be operated via simple analog interface as well as USB and delivers a maximum current of 2 A. The maximum current for the TEC is 2.5 A. A settable over- current protection is included. The operation temperature can be set in a wide range. All parameter can be set and read via USB interface. The parameter will be stored in a nonvolatile memory. The driver is supplied with 8 – 30 V. Due to the stable enclosure the Laser is well protected. The driver is equipped with a fiber connector on the backside. A multi color LED informs the user about the operation state. The driver can be operated in constant-current (CC) or constant-power (CP) mode. The constant-current mode is enhanced with a pulse mode: pulse duration and pause can be set and the driver can be triggered internally or externally up to 50 KHz. An analog power- and current monitor as well as an interlock completes the driver.
