Description
CASTON supplies Nd:Ce:YAG (1.064μm), Yb:YAG (1.03μm), Er:YAG (2.94μm), Cr:Tm:Ho:YAG (CTH:YAG, 2.1μm), which extend the limits of the usages of YAG crystals.
Nd:Ce:YAG has appreciably less thermal distortion and its output laser energy is obviously greater (>30%) than that in Nd:YAG at the same pumping level.
Lasing at 1.03μm, Yb:YAG is the most promising laser material and more suitable for diode-pumping than the traditional Nd-doped materials, due to its high doping-concentration, larger absorption bandwidth (~8nm at 940nm) to reduce the thermal management requirements for diode lasers.
Er:YAG is one kind of laser crystal which lases at 2.94μm, widely used medical and dental applications.
CTH:YAG is a new laser crystal lasing at 2.08μm, and applied in medical, meteorology and military areas.
