The LCM EtherCAT slave module allows ACS Controllers and Control Modules to control a laser source directly and synchronize its activation and pulsing to motion for laser micro-machining.
The LCM can interface with a variety of lasers such as DPSS, CO2, excimer, fiber, Q-switched, picosecond, and femtosecond.
The LCM is programmed using the dedicated high level function commands that are part of the ACSPL+ motion programming language.
The achievable laser pulse accuracy of the LCM is sub-micron, although it is dependent on the stage and process being used.
The LCM has control and enable outputs, fault and safety interlock inputs as its electrical interfaces.
