Frequently Asked Questions
The Polaris UniverseOne motion controller is used for CNC machine tool applications and advanced custom machines of all kinds. It is also used for multi-axis CNC applications, coordinating and synchronizing mechanical stage motion, Galvo scanner motion, and laser control.
The Polaris UniverseOne motion controller achieves multi-axis setpoint rates of 100,000 per second easily. It runs real-time processes in hardware for extreme speed and greater software throughput. It also achieves high throughput data acquisition rates in the multiple Gbps simultaneously.
The Polaris UniverseOne motion controller accomplishes real-time tasks in hardware, running with extreme speed. This allows for multi-axis setpoint rates of 100,000 per second and relieves the software burden, resulting in greater throughput.
The Mercury™ network is a patented Gbps real-time network optimized for motion control and simultaneous data acquisition. It provides high-speed communication between the controller, servo drives, Galvo scanner interfaces, and I/O modules.
The Polaris UniverseOne motion controller is powered by a multi-core Intel processor. This processor enables smooth trajectory generation for multi-axis linear, circular, and spline interpolation. It supports three, five, and nine-axis CNC machining, as well as multiple Galvo scanner sets.
